I keep hearing wives/mothers saying they’re lonely within a marriage and even around their children. I don’t know why and I don’t get it, but I also hear wives/mothers saying they feel like a single parent, usually because the husband is working so much (and negligence I suppose). I’m not married, I work full time, I live with housemates and I have enough friends to where I never feel lonely but honestly WISH I was alone MORE 😂 MAYBE loneliness is just a personal issue/personal feeling/personal viewpoint on one’s life. Society says a single, childless woman like myself should feel lonely and unfulfilled but that’s quite the opposite of how I feel. I’m happier than most people I know and feel totally fulfilled, as I’ve had a crazy life. Right now my life SEEMS boring from the outside but I’m relieved! Totally cruising. And I sleep. It’s a beautiful life!

I agree about the hypocrisy. I grew up in an era where most of the women were full time stay at home moms, most of us grew up knowing that we needed to be independent. Yes, many women were happy as full time caregivers. But those whose marriage failed, it was traumatic for those who had to enter the work force either due to divorce or being a widow.

I got married 26 years ago and had 7 kids so I can speak to this. My husband is good and we have a great relationship, but there have been S LOT of downsides bc we have had little to NO help from family or friends over the years. I was expecting life to be so different. My 2nd born has non-verbal autism, a sweet ❤but it just made me feel MORE different than other Moms. I went WAY beyond my capacity and had went thru a time where I was hospitalized and labeled bi-polar. I have been off those meds for 8 years now, my youngest son is a Big blessing and just turned 7. The pendulum has swung for me bc a year ago I was only going to Mass in Latin (Trad Catholic) and now am just going Wild Woman and want to go howl at the 🌙 😄

the advice you gave to find a man that knows what he wants and has a "clear path". I never thought about it in the way you explained it but i sub-consciously saw men being super jealous of their own wives and wanting to create drama for the wives (even though they wanted a stay at home wife). I have dated both sides of the spectrum and men who have a path and a goal are happier and treat women (And everyone) better. Men without a clear path are at worst scary and at best weigh the people around them down. I can see how ballerina farm may have seen a positive and alluring future with the guy she chose but it's true that he doesn't seem like he had his own path, at the time. It does appear like he kinda went with the flow and landed on the farm. As curiosity I was wondering are women generally aware of how intensely visual men are? and how much dopamine/pleasure men get from drinking in the feminine even just visually? One could argue that the average man has somewhat of addiction to female's to the point that he has to exert serious self discipline not to take pleasure in trying to get any feminine visual he can. Also is there any such equivalent not a parallel per se, but an equivalent in the intensity of an urge by women? or are us men the unlucky ones that are biologically royally screwed with these types of struggles? I love your insights about Ballerina Farm! What surprised me the most from the article and the videos I saw of the couple, is that it seems they are in a partnership and not a loving relationship... I don't feel love or even care for each other which I found very weird since they are both performing a specific role about couple, and men and women in general. Also, Ballerina is overperforming a perfect wife/woman. It is stereotypical and dangerous to think that her life is normal or even relatable. And the fact she is laying in her bed for weeks makes sense (although I think this statement might be slightly exaggerated ) And you are right trad wives are operating in their masculine energy ! Watching her cooking most of the time is relaxing. But this woman is constantly working, or holding a baby or cleaning. It is just so exhausting to watch her and I am sure people appreciate to watch her video because she is extremely attractive. If she would not be she will not be the face of the American trad wife. There is nothing to envy about her life. However what I think so interesting and contradicting at the same time, is that the soft life is highly promoted rn. And despite the fact she doesn't have a soft life ( even if she could, since she marry rich, she is beautiful, live in a farm ) this image is extremely appreciated by men and women. The only reason for me that women could want to have her life is that she represent something simple, natural, warm. Like a cliché of America. But she has all the struggle that we don't want to have : she married a controlling husband, she has 6 kids, constantly working, don't even go to holiday ( the apron situation ), dont practise her passion anymore. What would your suggestion be to someone who has experienced the negative consequences of having their masucine shield up for too long and is actively trying to take it down to calm their nervous system lose weight and be happier. But still has to go around family that triggers their shield to go up. Would you suggest putting it down in front of them too? And I never realized that needing to be the grown up for everyone else, especially for grown ups who are basically overgrown children, is me being in masculine energy before you said it. But what do you mean by “safety in my body” and “safety within myself”? Is there an inherent sense of safety that’s buried somewhere deep inside of us?
